Our Accreditation
Trinity Theological Seminary is theologically accredited by the International Association for Theological Accreditation (IATA). This accreditation reflects our commitment to maintaining recognized standards of excellence in theological education, including academic quality, faculty qualifications, institutional integrity, biblical scholarship, and ministerial preparation.
As a theological accrediting body, IATA serves institutions whose primary mission is the education and preparation of Christian leaders for ministry, missions, biblical teaching, pastoral leadership, and theological scholarship.
Our Legal Status
Trinity Theological Seminary is registered in the State of Georgia, USA, and operates under Saviour Foundation Inc., a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. As a nonprofit Christian educational ministry, TTS exists to advance biblical education and equip believers around the world for effective Christian service.
Understanding Theological Accreditation
Higher education encompasses many different types of institutions, each serving unique educational purposes. Universities that prepare students for careers in fields such as medicine, engineering, law, business, or education often pursue accreditation through agencies recognized within those professional and academic sectors.
Likewise, many Bible colleges and theological seminaries choose to pursue theological accreditation through faith-based accrediting organizations that specialize in Christian higher education. Our Educational Philosophy
Trinity Theological Seminary exists primarily to prepare men and women for Christian ministry. Institutional Independence
Throughout history, Christian theological education has developed alongside the life and mission of the Church. Many seminaries around the world choose to maintain institutional independence so that they may freely pursue their theological convictions and educational mission while remaining accountable to their governing boards, accrediting bodies, and the communities they serve.
As a Christian theological institution, Trinity Theological Seminary enjoys the religious freedoms afforded under the laws of the United States, allowing us to teach, develop curriculum, and prepare ministers according to our biblical convictions and statement of faith.
This independence enables us to remain focused on our mission of equipping Christian leaders while faithfully preserving the authority of Scripture and the historic teachings of the Christian faith.
Recognition of Degrees
Acceptance of academic credits and degrees is always determined by the receiving institution, denomination, ministry organization, employer, or licensing body according to its own policies and requirements.
This principle applies broadly throughout higher education, including both theological and secular institutions. Students who intend to pursue additional studies or professional opportunities are encouraged to consult the relevant institution or organization regarding its specific admission or recognition policies.
